Dear Courtney:
I’ve enjoyed looking at your website. Please take a moment to visit my blog, “A Black Woman’s Reflections About Casino Gambling.” I’m trying to start an online forum or discussion group about the negative effects of casino gambling on communities of color and especially on black women. I haven’t posted for a while because I’m finishing up the layout for my forthcoming book, CONFESSIONS OF A SLOT MACHINE QUEEN: A Memoir. The projected publication date is March 17, 2010. I also founded a small independent press, EugeniaBooks. I plan to start seeking manuscripts after March, 2010. My website will be up in about a month. I look forward to reading more about you and your work.
Courtney,
I am a sociologist and colorism scholar and am glad to hear that you are working on a book project on colorism. I am working on a scholarly manuscript on the issue myself. Keep up the good work!
Love your web site and am looking forward to your new book. Continue to shine.
Thank you.
Sandy
